- After each wearing, empty the pockets, as they tend to bulge or sag.
- Brush the garment with a Lint Roller. This removes lint, hair, surface dirt, Soil and prevents the stains.
- Air the garments. Woven garments should be hung to allow any wrinkles to relax out.

- Avoid hanging a jacket, or any heavier garments.
- Care for your clothes regularly, and unless you have a spill, you should only have to dry-clean them once, at the end of the season.
- Stains left unattended can make their removal impossible. Treat any stains immediately to keep them from becoming permanent.
- Do not Press a garment if it is stained. The heat of pressing will set the stain and make its removal impossible.
- Do not use untested home stain removers or club soda. They can ruin the garment creating permanent damage.
- Use a brush to lightly clean winter clothes. Use after each wearing. This will help keep them fresher for a longer period of time.
- Before using stored garments air out the clothes for several days.
- Wrinkles can be removed from stored garments made from wool, or wool blends by hanging them in the bathroom and allowing the steam from a shower to relax the wrinkles. After steaming, allow the items to hang overnight. Any unwanted creases that remain can be gently pressed out.
